The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C student thought he knew everything.
I have been the teacher of various Heating, Ventilation, and A/C classes over the years, and I have seen various arrogant students come through the door, many of them have family members who are Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professionals and they believe they guess everything… They are the worst because they will try to contradict everything you say and tell you you’re wrong! I remind them I am a outdated Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional and the owner of an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company or I wouldn’t be the teacher of the class, but usually that is enough to slow them down a bit, but Last week I had a student who didn’t back down. I was getting so miserable with him, that I was ready to kick him out of class. I listened to his fights, and various times I had to step back and believe about what he was saying! Although he said it in a unusual way, he said the same thing I said, however he was getting through to the other students. After a single class, I asked him to stay over. I was talking to him about his attitude. He stood at attention the entire time I was talking, and I knew there was something unusual about him. I abruptly realized he was the child of a single of my other Heating, Ventilation, and A/C teachers. He had recently gotten out of the Air Force where he worked as an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional. He had to attend this class so he could get his state certification. I welcomed him to the class, but I asked him not to show myself and others up in front of the other students. He absolutely blushed and apologized.
