The HVAC repairman feels I should focus on cleanliness
Yesterday the HVAC company sent out a heating and cooling expert to my house to look at my electric heating system.
- Something has been wrong with it recently and I just don’t feel like I have been getting warm at all.
I also haven’t been home much lately since I have been working a ton and I’m on the road a lot for work. So in all, I’m home maybe a week a month. Yesterday the HVAC expert came over and you can tell he wasn’t happy at all to be at my place. His face went from smiling and saying hi to what happened to this place. I should say my place isn’t the cleanest at all and being gone for long stretches doesn’t help either. My clothes are all over the place and there might be some fungus growing in my sink since I’m really bad at keeping up with my dishes. He asked where my heating system was and I pointed to the door to the basement. He then slowly maneuvered through my dirty home to get to the basement and as he opened the door he saw a pile of clothes at the bottom of the stairs. He turns and looks at me and says ” you really need to focus on cleanliness.” I’m now embarrassed and somewhat angry because who is he to judge me? I don’t go around telling people what to do with their lives or homes. I just gave him a small smile with an equally small nod. After a half hour, he solved the problem and my heating is working great but now I want to focus on cleanliness. I don’t want to be in that situation again.
