We hoped the lodge wasn’t too far for the heating expert
Late last year, my neighbor and I did something crazy.
- In the dead of winter, my friend and I purchased a lodge.
Joel and I had often discussed purchasing a remote cottage or lodge. We’d choose a scenic location and hope to acquire a few acres of land. Joel and I grew up together, and our parents enjoyed visiting such places. They didn’t care if it was spring, summer, fall, or winter. They pack up and go somewhere nice for a week or two once or twice a year. They claimed that getting away from the lights, skyscrapers, and crowds was necessary to keep their minds sharp. Now that Joel and I are adults, my associate and I understand why they insisted on these trips. And my colleague and I wanted to replicate the same experience for others. So my colleague and I went searching and discovered the most beautiful lodge for sale that was within our budget. The heating was the next thing my associate and I had to deal with because we planned on staying there during the winter. Joel and I work remotely, so my colleague and I decided that the best time to visit the lodge was during the winter. But there was no way to survive in that environment without proper heating. My friend and I asked around in a nearby city and got contacts for an HVAC company. As my associate and I placed a call requesting their services, we hoped the lodge wasn’t too far away for the heating expert. Fortunately, my colleague and I were within the HVAC contractor’s repair areas, and they dispatched a heating expert to assist us.
