What should I do when my AC keeps tripping?
My AC has been tripping continuously for a few weeks now, and nothing I seem to do is toiling.
- At first, I almost panicked before remembering that my Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman could handle pretty much everything.
I put a call through to him, and his first suggestion was for me to check the filters for dirt and grime. However, I was sure that my filters were lean since I had changed them a few afternoons back. With that out of the way, I proceeded to check the loose wirings that could cause these troubles. However, none seemed to be hanging or out of place. I knew that this needed special Heating and Air Conditioning attention from an expert who understands these systems with nothing physical or visible within sight. Three hours later, the serviceman was at my place and busy inspecting the AC. It turns out the refrigerant was running low hence struggling to power the unit. He had it refilled and sealed off any potential leakage areas. He assured me that this will never repeat itself and that it should be a priority every time I have an official Heating and Air Conditioning tune-up session. I constantly made a mental note to ask the corporation who handles the repairs and general checks to constantly consider the refrigerant amount. I also learned about different troubles that can trigger an Heating and Air Conditioning system to trip continuously. One of the easiest ways to stop this is to reset the unit. Simply unplug the appliance from the power source and plug it back in before proceeding with the heating and cooling process as usual.
