What to do to your condo when you leave for vacation to save on Heating as well as A/C costs
When I was younger I can consistently remember going on vacations… Vacations were something that I Iooked forward to especially when I was still in university, i would have a calendar in my room & consistently count down the afternoons until my friend and I would go on our family vacation.
Some of the venues that my family & I would go to would be beaches, national parks, mountains & camping sites.
There are so numerous memories & pictures; Before my friend and I would embark on our family journey my parents would make sure that the condo was secured & everything was shut off, however my parents would make sure that the blinds & curtains would be closed to prevent our condo becoming honestly warm since my friend and I would take our vacations in the summer. By closing the blinds & curtains it would minimize the sunlight rays entering our condo & changing the temperature… When the temperature would increase then our a/c would kick on. My parents tried to minimize the amount of times the a/c would have to kick on. They would also do this by setting the thermostat to a higher temperature. When a temperature is set higher on the cooling mode of a thermostat, the cooling system system is not going to run as much. My parents told me that they would set their thermostat to 76 degrees. I am grateful for the vacations that my family & I went on when I was younger, however now that I have a family of my own I take them on vacations as well as following my parent’s cooling savings costs.
