What to do to your house when you leave for vacation to save on Heating, Ventilation and A/C costs

When I was younger I can regularly remember going on vacations, and vacations were something that I Iooked forward to especially when I was still in school… I would have a calendar in my room plus regularly count down the afternoons until my associate and I would go on our family vacation, and some of the sites that my family plus I would go to would be beaches, national parks, mountains plus camping sites, there are so many memories plus pictures. Before my associate and I would embark on our family journey my parents would make sure that the house was secured plus everything was shut off, then my parents would make sure that the blinds plus curtains would be closed to prevent our house becoming entirely hot since my associate and I would take our vacations in the summer. By closing the blinds plus curtains it would minimize the sun rays entering our house plus changing the temperature; When the temperature would increase then our cooling system would kick on. My parents tried to minimize the amount of times the cooling system would have to kick on. They would also do this by setting the control unit to a higher temperature. When a temperature is set higher on the cooling mode of a control unit, the cooling system system is not going to run as much. My parents told me that they would set their control unit to 75 degrees. I am grateful for the vacations that my family plus I went on when I was younger. Now that I have a family of my own I take them on vacations and following my parent’s cooling savings costs.
