Why our interior designer insisted on a multi-split air conditioning system
We bought a property with five studio apartments to convert into an Airbnb rental. Our interior designer thought doing an independent HVAC installation would be wise. I needed clarification on what he meant initially. Still, he explained that it would allow our visitors to control their studio rooms, especially if we installed a thermostat in every house. A split system is the only quality air conditioner that fits such requirements. We needed to know more before deciding, so my partner and I decided to visit an air conditioning company to seek the input of an air conditioning provider. After explaining our situation to the air conditioning technician, he told us that the interior designer was a fight and that the multi-split air conditioning system would be a great option. The cost of buying the quality HVAC equipment we needed and the installation was high, but we thought about it and concluded that our client’s comfort was the priority and it would be an investment. We also felt that it would be easier to conduct any HVAC maintenance without disrupting our visitors. The interior designer had their preferred a/c serviceman in the cooling industry because they needed the units to be installed in line with the aesthetics. Once we were done learning more about air conditioning, we gave the go-ahead for the work to be done. We only feared that the air quality would be compromised, but that has not been a problem. We can also track usage for each studio unit and know the primary energy consumption rates when hosting. We hope to keep having great clients and will not need any air conditioning repairs soon.
