Four ducts to scrub for the furnace
In about three weeks, we’ll reunite as a band and play again.
I know my bandmate is itching to get back to playing, and I think my friend and I will have a great time jamming together again tonight.
We’re going to loosen up in front of this massive church at sundown, then hit this ritzy club to perform for the clientele inside. It’s possible that some of our mutual friends are planning on coming to watch, and one of them is going to film us to give my pal and I a promotional video. We’ve been hired by a beachside business to play in their club next month, and we’ll be paid to do so because of the fireplace. Since the weather is getting colder and playing outside is challenging when your hands are numb, I’m looking forward to doing more gigs in clubs and getting off the streets. Although my bandmate is used to begging for tips during performances, I have made it clear that I have no interest in doing the same and that he is welcome to play on his own and solicit donations if he so chooses. I really hope that my bandmate doesn’t bother the HVAC technicians at the store where we’ll be playing and ask them for money before the show. He has a different perspective on street play because he was basically raised on the streets, and I want to make sure he understands that I am not going to beg for money like some peasant. I’m thrilled about our upcoming gig at the beachside club next month, where we’ll be paid to perform indoors and escape the challenges of playing outside in the cold weather.
