Heated floors are on leave

In a matter of days, the month of April will be a distant memory.

More people will be in town next month, which is good because it means more money for our band to play in the local bars and clubs.

We’re getting ready for the Summer season by performing three shows a week in bars, which will net us about $600 per week once the Summer crowds arrive. If you only plan on drumming and singing a few times a week, it shouldn’t be too painful. With the money I’m making from music, I can cut back on my hours as a heating and air conditioning technician for a local contractor. If I can make $1,200 per month performing musicals, my friend and I can reduce our hours elsewhere so that I can focus entirely on improving the quality of my performances. My pal and I have a blast jamming in these air-conditioned summer clubs, and we’re laying the groundwork to take our show to the ski lodges this winter. We’re going to film a ton of performances, then cull the best bits and use them to promote our shows at ski lodges. In the winter, my friend and I will be rolling in dough because ski lodges pay twice as much as beach bars do and all have fireplaces near the stage to keep us warm. I’ll put it toward the down payment on an air-conditioned RV that a friend and I hope to buy soon. With our sights set on the ski lodges and the promise of higher pay, we’re excitedly building our music career, saving up for an air-conditioned RV that will accompany us on our journey.
