Level up with some suitable space heaters

To be honest, I think it’s probably time for me to call it quits and put away my volleyball shoes.

I didn’t start participating in sports until I was 25 years old, and now that I’m turning 56, my body is telling me to stop. I really don’t want to stop playing, but I’m afraid that if I do, I won’t be able to run or even walk for very long because my knees have no cartilage and are grinding and painful after each game. Either that or I’ll have to get knee replacements from a local business, which I strongly prefer to avoid. If I don’t take the bold action of giving up the athletic activity I love so much, I may never be able to return to my job as a Heating and Air Conditioning tech at my company’s preferred supplier. I’m a drummer in a band, and I think that drumming can replace volleyball as my main focus. The heating supplier was there when I first started playing, but she had to give it up a few years ago because she couldn’t lug heat pumps from the back of the store to the front, where my friend and I were working. Now that I’ve seen what others are doing, I feel obligated to follow suit lest I spend my golden years parked next to a beach in a wheelchair, watching kids play. I have to go get a HEPA filter, bye! In the end, I’ve realized that prioritizing my long-term health and pursuing my passion for drumming rather than volleyball is the best decision for me, even if it means leaving behind a job and embracing a new chapter in my life.
