Propane boiler is in motion again

I had a minor setback this afternoon when the water and power went out, but I’m back on track and getting my work done for the day.

You don’t appreciate water and power until they’re gone, and wow, am I glad it’s back on again.

My grilled cheese is warming up and everything is making sense again, except for the fact that a married woman asked me for my number yesterday and has been texting me nonstop ever since. She’s married to a guy in the HVAC industry who works for me, and the whole thing just seems strange. Maybe their marriage is on the rocks because he’s gone for months at a time, but I don’t want to be a homewrecker, so I’m trying to keep my distance. Since breaking up with my cooling tech lady over a year ago, I haven’t dated anyone, but I refuse to compromise my values by getting back with another woman. I’ve been living a lot like a Buddhist monk, with the exception that I enjoy the occasional (or frequent) beer. Perhaps my friend and I will be able to have a more in-depth discussion once this woman leaves her air-conditioned luxury cabin with the heating rep, but for now, I’m content to live on my own and enjoy the peace and quiet. I share a house with a female friend; we’re close and always have each other’s backs, but our relationship is strictly platonic. As the power and water were restored, I resumed my work and contemplated the complexities of my current situation, hoping for a time when open communication could take place, while cherishing the solitude and support of my platonic friendship.
