The new daycare in our neighborhood has the best cooling technology and my child is finally happy to be somewhere else other than home

When I first took my toddler to daycare so I could handle more work at home, he was so excited.

We did have the common sickness from exposure in the first month, but it was nothing we couldn’t handle.

Then he started coming home with a heat rash and a thirst for water I had not seen before. A week into summer, he started refusing to go to the daycare. On asking the daycare manager, she told us their cooling equipment had been giving them trouble, and sometimes they had cooling problems in the facility. They had already engaged the HVAC contractor who did the HVAC installation for the building they were based at, but the cooling technician sent to fix the issue had told them that it was time for a replacement. It was annoying that they had not informed us to find alternative childcare options until they fixed their cooling technology problems, but we gave them a chance because they were doing something about it. The daycare was closed for a week while they tried to get the local service provider to give them a reliable solution to their climate control challenge. According to what the daycare manager had explained, the cooling specialist they were working with had told them to buy an electric heat pump from the HVAC business because installation would be quick and clean. I got an update that they had bought the equipment from the local cooling corporation and would have helped with indoor comfort by the end of the week. I knew they’d get quality AC service, and when we resumed, my son was now ready to run there immediately after we were up in the morning.
