An HVAC installation customer that was quite the character

It had been such a busy week, and I was exhausted by the time Friday rolled in.

I wake up every day to go to the heating company because I love and enjoy my job as a technician.

We all get exhausted from everyday activities but keep pushing because life demands it. On Friday mid-morning, we received a call from the heating dealership in town. They had a customer who had come to inquire about replacing his furnace. The customer said the current electric heater was still functioning but inefficiently. The heating dealer recommended we run quality heating maintenance on the heating device to determine if it needed replacing. We packed our gear and headed to the customer’s residence downtown. It was a massive house with exquisite decor. I also noticed the majestic fireplace in the lounge area. I later found out it was fueled by gas, which gave the lounge area a cozy feel when it was on. The customer was right because the heating equipment was aged and inefficient. He got a new system from the supplier, but for that day, we only removed the system. The HVAC installation occurred the following day, and we could not stop laughing at the customer’s jokes. He seemed like such a happy person. He chose a programmable thermostat to set the system to switch on before his wife got home. He made a joke about how cold weather made her an angry woman. The junior HVAC professional taught the customer the importance of timely heating repairs so the system would last longer and function optimally.
