Last days as an HVAC professional

When I got promoted, I would sometimes help the junior heating technicians when they went for heating maintenance jobs.

I preferred to work with the juniors to keep up with the heating technology.

After some time, joining them in the heating repair jobs became impossible since I got busier with my daily tasks. I got my peers’ assistance, and we did significant projects for the heating company. For instance, we launched our star product, the fireplace. This heating device was a favorite among the people. Some wanted the gas-powered one, and other customers opted for the electric one. It was an idea I had when I visited a European heating dealership. The heating dealer told me about the fireside and the different fuel options. The heating equipment also used a thermostat like the conventional electric heaters. It had been three decades of service to the company, and now I was retiring. For my retirement year, I decided to work with each department for several weeks to bid them goodbye. My last department was with the HVAC professionals, and we did an HVAC installation. The customer we met was very kind, and to our surprise, he was among my first customers when I started. I installed a furnace when their daughter was just a toddler. We caught up for a few minutes before my teammates wrapped up work. At the last work order of my career, I got to meet one of the first customers of my career. I enjoyed my job all these years, but I am entering another part of my life.
